I love this place! Great priced chinese food and they give you so much! The boxes are loaded up heavy and you will be satisfied! Tried 'egg foo young' for the first time & it was so yummy! Comes with a side of hot gravy and yum! It's vegetarian. Cant go wrong with choosing Lucky for cheap, filling, flavorful chinese food!

I thank the hubs for introducing this place to me many moons ago! This is still our "go to" spot for Chinese take out. I still remember though when a 2-item combo back in the day cost less than $8 bucks! (((sigh))). We happened to be in the area, so it made sense to stop by and pick up some grub before fighting the traffic back to San Clemente. It was 4:30pm and the line was almost out the door. The friendly ladies at the counter are pretty efficient and keep the line moving fairly quickly. Cute little logo as you look up while waiting inside...lol! You can't go wrong with any of their dishes, and my 2-item combo tonight was half fried rice and half chow mein. My side choices were the eggplant with tofu (stir fried with oyster sauce), and the fried chicken wings (awesome meat-to-bone ratio and very well seasoned). The portions are huge (definitely shareable), and it amuses me watching them shut the overflowing styrofoam box without breaking it! NOTE: Cash only.

This place has a crazy line. To my surprise I thought this was gonna be your average Chinese fast food but was shocked by the line that was wrapping outside on a weekday night. This place is cash only so be sure to come prepare. There is an atm inside if you do end up forgetting. The have couple different sizes to chose from: pint, quart, combo. And while I was skeptical of the size for the pint being the smallest. They pack the food in! They have a lot of stuff, even stuff not on the menu. If there something your craving and you know it can be found at a Chinese fast food. And you don't see on the menu, just ask. They might have it. I highly 11/10 recommend ordering the egg drop soup. It only comes in a quart size but you won't be disappointed. It's so fresh and great on any cold day. The noodles i got as a quart and size was great. However taste was good, just pretty average. Orange chicken is a must. Even my mom liked it, and she is very picky. Doesn't order out much too. Also got Kung Pao Chicken. It was good but i would probably get something else. Since i was ordering for the family I got the pints and quart. However the combo looked great for 1 person Lots of space to sit as well.

Pick up food for dinner tonight from this place as we have not been back for a while. Just like how we remembered, the best thing is they still fill up the food to the fullest as possible. Food came out fresh. We ordered our usual house special chicken, beef green beans and bbq pork. We came early about 3 and there was only one customer before us. Still cash only and parking can be tight during peak hours.

They give you soooo much food! I usually always get the 2 item combo and it would last me all day. I would say that the orange chicken, although great flavor has a bit too much batter for me. And the ladies help you are all really nice. They only take cash, so that's a bummer since I don't always carry cash. There is an atm inside if you're desperate for their food with no cash. I also really like their hot and sour soup. It's not thick (full of starch) like other Chinese places I've been too. Lots of tofu & meet so it's a good bang for your buck for fast food. Now that it's post covid lockdown, you can sit inside if you'd like. I'll be back to fulfill my Chinese food cravings.

Best Chinese express food I've had for the price. Not a single item I've tried that I wouldn't recommend, and I've tried more than half of the items. Don't be afraid to get three items and turn the meal into two meals. Honestly everything is bomb. Yeah sure it can be greasy and heavy, but you no one should look at a Chinese express food place and not expect that. This place often has a line, but it tends to go relatively quick. Because Lucky has a line most of the time, the food ends up being actually pretty fresh. I've also done catering with lucky and that's also been a 5 star experience. The small-sized catering option is surprisingly a lot and a couple of those or even a couple of mediums should cover your party. Everyone really enjoyed the entrees we got and wanted to take them home. Can't recommend this place enough. Also, it is cash only, so just come prepared (though there is an ATM onsite).

After all these years and Lucky Chinese Food is still going strong. Lucky is probably one of the better Chinese food spots in the area. It's a cash only establishment that stuffs their containers. It's hard to come here when it isn't busy so be prepared to wait in line. The last time I came here was to order for 8 people and I got a lot of food. I got about 10 containers and spent about $120. We had plenty of leftovers and everyone was satisfied. What I enjoy about Lucky is their stir fry noodles are one of the best. The rice is good too but the noodles are unmatched. The orange chicken we experienced was over fried and over battered. The Kung Pao chicken had a slight off taste but everything else was good. My favorite is their green bean beef. Their food did satisfy everyone and it was definitely hit the spot.
